Now that the buzz around the situation has died a little, id like to address the whole situation that my country, Venezuela, is going through right now and why it’s such a complicated thing, and why a lot of posts and claims made by gringos here enrage me so much. This is very summarized because a lot of these stuff is traumatic to me and talking about it is heart wrenching. I apologize for my English first and foremost, I am 17 so also keep that in mind if I seem to angry or my prose isn’t good.

First of all I’ll get the biggest thing out of the way.  Venezuela is NOT a socialist country, nor a democracy. Everything you see about Venezuela that implies such a thing is very well created propaganda by the chavista government, ands everything that blames it on an “economic war” is also lie. I feel the need to add that while Maduro blames a lot of problems that our country has on USA (and they have fucked us over a lot) , a lot of the time he doesn’t really mean what he is saying, he’s just using the words he knows will convince people to not see him as the lowlife he is, ands that will convince other gringos that he is really a socialist . In Venezuela there IS equal pay, janitors and such earn as much money as doctors do… But it’s worthless. The inflation here is so tremendous that nearly everyone is either poor or on the line of being poor. The only people that have any time of economical stability are people connected to the government.

Now, the corrupted government we have really benefits from having their people go hungry, and they especially create situations that would cause people to depend on them, to boost their image.There is nothing wrong with giving people free boxes of food, except that the only reason why people NEEDS said help is because they’re constantly stealing the money they should use to actually sustain the country, badly handling the resources we have and thus causing people to sink lower and lower each time. I have seen people, DAILY, search through garbage cans, they have started hunting doves and stray dogs for food. If you’re thinking “that happens in my country too, big deal” imagine that around 60% of your population had to do it. The disgusting handling of resources is truly at its worst with the medicines though. People in here constantly die of easily preventable, easily curable diseases because there’s just not enough medicine or vaccines. Sometimes the ones they give to the hospital are so old that they only make the patients worse

Obviously, because people can barely buy eggs sometimes, we have sunk into a SEVERE case of national insecurity. People get nervous about being outside, by 9 pm most business are closed because people are scared of being robbed etc. Even in your own neighborhood you can feel unsafe. A business that gives a lot of money (and it’s ALSO connected to the government, how strange) is the mining one. Our country has a lot of precious minerals. People have become so over zealous of it, because it’s one of the few things that really makes an income, that anytime someone as so much tries to get near the mines they get brutally assassinated. Recently, they cut of a mans eyes and hands, ands they left him alive just to make a statement.

Ever since this whole situation with the coup started, they’ve even begun forcefully recruiting children into the military to used them as meat shields. I am being serious, they seek out children that are at school or far from their houses, AND THEY FORC THEM TO JOIN THE ARMY. Just, look up pictures in Venezuelans people instagrams, seriously.

Finally, if after all this you still believe I’m lying and that Maduro ands our government is just a poor misunderstood socialist, check this out. Currently. Venezuela is having one of the biggest exodus of the century. Thousands of people leave out country and go to places like Chile, Argentina, Peru, Brazil etc. Its as easy as looking it up in google or actually asking literally any Venezuelan person on the Internet and they’ll tell you so. If this country is really such a socialist paradise, why is everyone fleeing from it?

Ok, now I’ll get into the REAL reason I made this post. Juan Guaido. He’s the provisional president, trying to usurp Maduro and the chavismo that’s been destroying our country since 1999. Of course, people (gringos especially) doubt him because his movement is being backed up by people like Trump, Bolsonaro and other disgusting pieces of shit. On top of that Guaido and basically everything he does is tied to Trump, and of course, he’s a capitalist. Now I feel the need to specify something. There is NO doubt at all that the only reason why Trump is so hellbent on supporting this movement, it’s because he wants our oil. Venezuela is one of the biggest providers of oil to USA, an if our country was more stable, surely they’d get more. It’s that simple. I’m not going to get into the details of all the other shit gringos have done here because it isn’t the point right now. Here’s the point, there’s people that have asked many here if they REALLY want USA to invade, people are so desperate, so convinced that they need a hero, that they’re basically begging for it, literally the other day I saw a comment in an Instagram post that said “I’d rather end up being a USA colony than to keep living like this”

So, originally this post went in a different direction, but now the point I’m trying to make is this one. Venezuela is NOT OKAY, it has not been okay since a long long time. The movement that is trying to free us right now is very much questionable all in every way,  we are believing and blindly trusting because we are desperate to feel like we are home again. No matter how nefarious this whole process ends up being, that doesn’t change the fact that the current regime is killing us. Don’t believe anything Maduro says, don’t fall for the propaganda he constantly creates. Just because this movement is so obviously another capitalist, probable attempt at an invasion doesn’t mean that Maduro is an innocent bunny ands that my country needs to be left alone. My country needs help, the right help, help that isn’t born out of interest.

If Guaido ends up being yet another son of a bitch that manipulated us and sold us to the gringos the least I can hope it’s that at least he’ll respect democracy and have free elections. Here’s another detail, in 2012 candidate Capriles Radonski was easily going to win, however they rigged the votes. They literally unashamedly invented more votes, in the end the quantity of the votes was larger than the population of the country, they did all that so they could win. When people understandingly demanded they recounted and showcased the names of the people that voted, some clever investigators noticed they literally voted using the cedula (our ID) of people who were dead, some of them nearly for 40 years. This has kept happening, no matter what we do or how, they always twists the results of the elections, sometimes so ridiculously people can’t actually do anything but laugh about it. When we finally won the elections of La Asamblea Nacional, they couldn’t hide or lie about it, so what did they do? They disbanded it.

Before I finish this post, I want to say once more, that we are not a socialist, or a democratic country, this is nothing but a dictatorship through and through. I am not in favor of capitalism, I believe it’s a dangerous tool made for genocide. I know many people use my country as an scapegoat to criticize socialism. They are not being fair because here there is nothing but hunger and sadness. CREATED hunger ands sadness. I DO NOT support Trump or anything his filthy existence tries to do, I am only explaining that he does not define our need for freedom and that it breaks my heart to see him taking advantage from our needs In a different world, nothing would make me happier than being free of the regime I live in, and also being able to do so without Trump looming over us like we’re cattle made to be used and abused
